This Organic GABA comes from the bamboo mountain growing region in Nantou. It goes through a special process exposing the leaves to nitrogen which increases the GABA (gamma-Aminobutyric acid) content by several times. GABA is believed to have calming properties.

This tea is certified organic by the Japanese agency MOA (Mokichi Okada International Association). MOA farming methods uphold the highest standards of organic and ecological farming using no chemical fertilizers or pesticides. This certification is verified organic by Taiwan's CAS (Certified Agricultural Standards) agency issued by Taiwan's agricultural authority.
