I’ve been experimenting with this type of roaster for over a year and this is the first time these roasters are available on this site. I’ve been really happy with the results so I wanted to make a few available for other people to enjoy.

These tea roasters are meant to be used over charcoal or the flame of an alcohol burner. A quick roast can refresh a tea that has been sitting too long in an opened package, which will also add a new dimension to the tea. A longer roasting will give the tea a fully roasted flavor.

To use, just put the amount of tea you plan to put in your pot in the roaster and keep the tea moving over the heat. After a few minutes, you’ll be able to smell the aroma of the tea. You can experiment with the timing and adjust the roasting to your taste.
