Yu Shan High Mountain Tie Guan Yin (medium oxidation)

This is a totally different tea than our Zhen Cong Tie Guan Yin grown in Muzha. This is medium oxidation tea is made from the Tie Guan Yin Strain but has no resemblance in appearance or flavor to its dark roasted counterpart. The medium oxidation of this tea brings out peachy ripe fruit flavors and a rich intoxicating aroma. It is similar in production and its flavor could be compared to Hong Shui Oolong.

Up till about 20 years ago Yu Shan was a was a major high mountain tea producing region. With the boom of the low oxidation, more floral high mountain teas that emerged in the 80's tea cultivation moved to other more easily accessible high mountain tea areas such as Alishan.

Here are some links for other medium oxidized teas that we carry in our collectionHong Shui Oolong and Cui Feng Medium Oxidation High Mountain tea
