Wild clay teapot 150ml

This teapot is made from a 3kg batch of wild clay that I harvested and processed from the mountains around my studio. The inside of the pot is unglazed and has a 7 hole filter behind the spout. This clay is high-fired in oxidation to 1180°C.  

The pots in this series are inspired by Yixing teapots. Through the years of testing and experimenting with wild clays, I discovered a clay that fires to a similar color and quality to Yixing teapots. The clay has a very clean taste and works well with any kind of tea.
