Qing Bai Gaiwan 80ml
Inspired by Song dynasty Qing bai ware, I worked to create a glaze similar to that of the early masterpieces. Qing Bai is a predecessor to the exquisite celadon pieces of ancient China and is characterized by icy blue-green transparent glazes over white porcelain. I hope the pieces in this series can capture some of the beauty of those early treasures. This cup is accentuated with a cloud motif, which is the symbol of luck and fortune.
